Wishing all those who observed the special season of Ramadan, a joyful celebration to mark the end of our fasting and charitable offerings. May the past month of reflection and reassessment be a source of inspiration and motivation to us all, toward living better and more balanced lives!
A big shout out to all of my family members, friends and colleagues of various faith and cultural traditions who were so thoughtful, helpful and respectful of my Ramadan efforts. Thank you for encouraging me each day, choosing to curb your own eating habits out of respect for mine, or even delaying your meal times to eat with me at sunset in sweet solidarity.
A dear friend of mine often reminds me that, “Love is not simply how you feel about a certain person or thing ~ Love is what you do for someone or about something.” When we show respect for each other’s efforts to learn and grown, we also foster a love that deepens our relationships, friendships and communities.
